Is vicodin safe for my pregnant daughter.By Ginger from Dallas, Texas on March 29, 2006 Category: Vicodin (Oral) My daughter, 20 weeks pregnant with twins, has been experiencing lower back pain on her right side since about week 15 of her pregnancy. The pain has become worse during this past week, and the area is highly sensitive to the touch. A two day stay in the hospital and test upon test shows all to be well with the babies and no indication of labor. Yet, something must be causing the back pain and tenderness. Appendicitis, urinary tract infection, kidney stones, etc., etc. have been ruled out, and the pain remains a muscle mystery. The doctor prescribed vicodin in the hospital (it has helped decrease the pain somewhat) and sent her home with a prescription for vicodin. Is this drug safe for a pregant woman? |
