4mg dosage for dental extractions

On the 24th of February this year my wife was a patient at a dental clinic in Bristol and had three extractions whilst under sedation using 4mg of midazolam ( i.v.) and within two days was admited to our local A & E with severe chest pain. She has a leeking mitral valve, MS, and also suffers from asthma she is still in the cardiac assessment ward and will not be released until they have some idea of the cause and is now becomming depressed.
My question is: would 4mg of midazolam increase the onset of her cardiac condition i.e. increased lung fluid, unable to breathe correctly, and a blue / purple colouring of the lips and pale complexion showing oxegen starvation ?
I would be most grateful if you could shed some light to my concerns as soon as possible
Many thanks for any help in advance you may give

Regards

Mr Phil M
