Anti-fever actions of Aceteminophin

Hi, My name is Bo. Im a third year Medical student in the philippines.

Acetemenophin (Tylenol) is a Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory drug.  When you get sick, you're immune system sends chemicals to your temperature control center of the brain (hypothalamus) to produce a chemical called Prostaglandin. This prostaglandin is responsible for fever. When acetimenophen is given, it inhibits the production of prostaglandin, thus lowering your fever.

I hope this helped
