Esterderm .05 patch + breast cancerI had a total hesterectomy in November 1991 and was also put on the Esterderm .05 patch and wore it from that time until about 1998 at which time I stopped using it and controlled the hot flashes and night sweats on my own. May 24th, 2006 I was diagnosed with Stage II Inflitrating ductal carcinoma in the left breast with no family history of breast cancer. The Bloom-Richardson score is 6 (3+2+1) Grade II. Also had 3 enlarged L axillary lymph nodes. <> All three needle biopsies show partial involvement by inflitrating ductal carcinoma. There is prominent stromal fibrosis, with minimal lymphocytic response. This neoplasm shows a minimal tendency toward ductule formation, moderate nuclear pleomorphism and only scattered mitotic figures. Core needle biopsies L breast mass and consists of 3 cores of tan tissue, each measuring 0.1 cm in diameter and varying in length from 0.7 to 2.0 cm. 6-14-06 started chemotherapy with Cytoxan(Cyclophosphamide), 5-FU (5-Fluorourocil), Epirubicin (Ellence), Taxotere, and Herceptin until November 8, 2006. December 7, 2006 had a Left modified Radical Mastectomy and 14 Lymph Nodes excision and a Right Simple Mastectomy with benign breast tissue with fibrocystic changes and microcalcifications. No evidence of in situ or invasive carcinoma in the right side. March 2007 went through 7 weeks of radiation with a boost during the last 3. January 2007 continued on Herceptin once every third week until June 27, 2007. CONVINCE ME THE TWO ARE NOT RELATED?? <>By Mary Lewis from Saint Clair, MO on July 18, 2007 | Reply | Write a Reply |
