Irregular periodsBy Denise Breaune from Joplin, MO. on January 01, 2006 Category: Jolivette (Oral) I am taking this birth control pill and am noticing very irregular periods. It seems that I have one every two weeks if not more frequently. This doesnt seem normal to me. Is this one of the side effects of this medication? If so is there another type of birth control pill that will make this better. I dont know if there should concern for Anemia with this. Please email me and let me know if what I am experiencing is normal. |
Irregular periods for me tooI am in my second pack of pills and am also having periods every other week. My OB/GYN said that it could take up to 3 months to regulate itself. You posted this several months ago...I am curious what happened after this was posted. Thanks. By Heather from Kingston, NY on June 05, 2006 | Reply | 3 months...still not regular...even more irregular!I have been on this pill for 3 months. I am noticing the side effects becoming even more severe than when I began. I still have a period every 2 weeks and it seems I'm not having a period when it supposed to occur. I am irritable all the time, and have gained 10 pounds since starting this pill. I want to stop taking it, but I am on it to control my menstrual migraines...which it has. I don't want a migraine, but I also can't stand this craziness I'm feeling! By Tiffany from California on July 07, 2006 | Reply | irregular periods-severe mood swingsI called my doctor this morning to let them know I would be stopping these pills. I have been so confused thinking it was all in my head...I have experienced very severe mood swings as well as irregular periods which for me, both are very unusual. I started taking Jolivette in hopes they would help my heavy periods. I would rather have my heavy periods back! By Denise from Arizona on September 06, 2006 | Reply | Has the irregularity continued?I, too, got my period two weeks after starting and have continued to get it every two weeks. I realize you all posted so long ago, but I am curious to find out if it stays irregular. Thanks! By Michelle from New Hampshire on October 05, 2006 | Reply | Irregular periods and 43 years oldI started these things because my obgyn wanted to give me a hysterectomy for irregular bleeding - he's a man. I have had nothing but hell on these things! Irritability, bloating, weight-gain. I had better luck with Loestrin. My Obgyn won't put me on this because I am "too old."
By Leslie from Tennessee on August 26, 2007 | Reply | I have been on it for 3 months now and I haven't had a periodI was on Levlin (combination pill) for 15 years. I have high blood pressure so my doctor prescribed Jolivette. The first month I had my period 2 weeks late then the next 2 months I didn't have a period at all! Is this normal?
