Drinking Alcohol and taking ClaravisBy Tatyana from Tampa, FL on January 01, 2006 Category: Claravis (Oral) My husband takes claravis and was told not to drink alcohol. He was taking antibiotics for acne for 1 month, then accutane for 1 month and now has been taking claravis for 3 weeks. The warnings say "Do not drink alcohol while using this medicine". On New Years Eve, he drank a glass of Champagne, not realizing. It has 10% alcohol. I haven't found what the side effects are or what he needs to do. Please help us. |
Drinking & Taking ClaravisHey, your husband is fine - Claravis is a generic form of Accutane and is labeled not to be taken with alcohol. Only by drinking three or more alcoholic beverages a day in combination with the meds can serious problems occur.
