i gave two beechams tablets to my 14 year old daughter and within 20 minutes she was vomitting. This has alos happened when I gave her sudafed syrup. Is she allergic to phenylephrine hydrochloride?

Beechams tablets reply

Just read the review from the woman in England about her daughter vomiting. The same happened to my teenage son.
The culprit could have been Phenyleprine hydrochloride.

In the U.S. normal Sudafed has become a no-no, so many drug addicts seems to use it to make bad drugs. One now has to sign for Sudafed and give a driver’s license number. The replacement, Nasal Decongestant PE (Phenyleprine hydrochloride) is the answer for law abiding citizens who are being penalized for the unlawful use by others of Sudafed.

It seems our children and maybe more have to suffer the side effects from pheynyleprine hydrochloride (Nasal Decongestant PE).

My son said he had never been so sick in his life! What does it take to protect law abiding citizens and their children to use Sudafed and not Sudafed PE which causes severe vomiting among other law abiding citizens.

My husband has severe allergy and congestion problems and due to the difficulty in getting pseudoephedrine, I had some phenylephrine in the house. The THIRD time he got violently ill with vomitting and diarrhea, we finally figured out exactly what it was caused by - the phenylephrine. Unfortunately, I kept the pills around for myself and he did take them a fourth time. The pills are now kept in my own closet and carefully labelled. More people need to know what a severe side effect phenylephrine hydochloride can have.
