Why is Tussend No Longer Prescribed ?

For years, Tussend liquid was widely prescribed by family physicians, as an expectorant and cough suppressant.

Now, these same doctors steer patients to Robitussin, Mucinex, and other over-the counter meds?

Was Tussend pulled by the FDA, because of its side-effects as a narcotic ?

If so, we patients are the lesser for it. Tussend was fast, and long-lasting, in thinning mucus, and opening bronchial passageways.
