My doctor has prescribed Phenazopyridine for Urinary Irration.I always look up the side effects of a drug before I take it.I found some information on drugs.com that said phenazopridine caused cancer in lab rats and mice.This scared me. I thought,why would my doctor prescribe a medication to me that causes cancer in lab rats and mice?I called my doctor and he said that phenazopyridine doesn't cause cancer in humans.There are many doctors out there that don't know the side effects and warnings of the drug they are prescribing for their patients.I will look forward to your reply.
