My mother 98 years old has been taking DIGOXIN 0.125 mg. daily during years, the cadiologist suspended his Digoxin therapy of 0.125 mg daily in July 2009, but recently after suffering a  TIA in Jan. 2010, he rescheduled the Digoxin therapy as before.  She is also taking Cozaar 50 mg., Coreg 13.50 mg., Lasix 20 mg., Indur 30 mg., Plavix 75 mg., Lipitor 10 mg.,

A chemistry test Feb. 8, 2010 indicated BUN 34.00 (high). Creatinine 1.54 (high), Potassium 5.50 (high).  Everthing else in the Chemistry test like: Calcium 9.20, Glucose 72, Sodium 138 etc. were within the normal range.

She has been experiencing the following side effects: excessive salivation, ocassionally abdominal pain, diarrhea, lack of appetite, and ocassional insomnia.

My question is:  Is it possible that these side effects are the result of a Digoxin intoxication.

She has had an increased of almost 50% on digoxin concentration level nin blood from within a period of two months from 0.9 ug/L (dec.2009) to 1,79 ug/L (Jan.8, 2010).
