Started taking trinessa for first time while not having period

I began taking Trinessa on May 6th.  I had my period the previous month beginning on April 24th-29th.  I misunderstood my physician and began taking the medication  well before my period and now am unsure if it is going to work properly and if so, will my period come when the inactive pills are due.

Should I quit taking the pills today and wait to restart the cycle when my next period begins?  Or should I continue and my period will adjust.  Please advice.

Hi there!

I was in the same boat as you... Started on May 11th on Tri-Nessa.. just about a week after I ended my period. My doctor told me that it was fine to start then, which is weird because all the research I have done has told me not to do that! I'm in the same boat as you!! I guess it's okay right?

I also think that even if we started on the wrong day, going through the entire pack will eventually make our bodies adjust to the cycle!!
