Glipizide Usage

My name is Gail and I am a Type2 diabetic. My sugar usually runs high. My doctor has me on Metformin, Glyberide, Novolin & Novolin 30/70. I have heard about the Glipizide from afriend.   Along with diabetes I also suffer from crohns disease, severe chronic fibromyalgia, degenerative bone disease and depression. In reading your article I noticed mention of being on blood pressure pills and diaretics. I do take Triazide 25/50 along with other medications. My sugar quite often runs in the mid to high 20's range. My friend has suggested to me that I take this medication rather than the Metformin & Glyberide. I have been told that pain will cause my sugar level to go up and I am in alot of pain most of the time from my crohns disease. What I am wanting to know is if this would be a better drug for me to take rather than the Metformin,Glyberide, Novolin and Novolin 30/70 I would appreciate any suggestions you may have for me where my diabetes is concerned and a medication that would perhaps be the best. Would the Glipzide be better for me than taking the other 2 pills and the 2 different insulins daily. Thank you for your time.

                                                                   Yours sincerely

                                                                      Gail Graham
