dosage and decreased effectivenessBy DJ Israel from Pennsylvania on October 27, 2007 Category: Carbidopa My uncle, aged 83, had been taking carbidopa/levo 50/200 - 1 tablet b.i.d. - for treatment of Parkinson's. The dosage was effective for about 8 months, then lost its effectiveness. Is an increased dosage possible? If so, is it worth investigating the effect of increasing the dosage or does the loss of effectiveness at current dosage indicate that this medication has reached the end of its viability for this patient? |
