Liquid Valium for a ChildBy Stefanie from Staten Island, NY on August 10, 2007 Category: Valium (Oral) My 2 1/2 year old son has two or three cavaties and his pediatric dentist would like to use liquid valium to be able to perform the dental work. I am extremely hesitant in keeping with his appointment that is scheduled in early September. I do not know what the risks are in taking this drug and how my child will react to it. What are some concerns that I should have and look for. My son's pediatrician wanted me to find out if there will be a heart monitor on my son while the dental work is being performed (which the dentist confirmed that there would be) and he is under the medication (liquid valium). The mere fact that there needs to be a heart monitor on my child while he is at the dentist worries me completely. Please tell me whatever you can to put my mind at ease about this whole matter. Thank you, Stefanie |
