Substitutes for Zoloft prescriptionBy Heather from Colorado on May 22, 2007 Category: Zoloft (Oral) I am currently using Sertraline at 100mg per day to help with my anxiety, depression and panic attacks. My ob/gyn prescribed Zoloft for me at seven months gestation because of severe depression after giving birth. I am also currently struggling with multiple stresses in my life right now so prescribing an anti-depressant was not really a question. However, my insurance at the time allowed me to obtain Sertraline for a very minimal price as opposed to the Zoloft. I am not covered by that insurance anymore and need to continue my medication. Wal-mart pharmacy provides generic brands of anti-depressants for a very minimal charge but they do not have Sertraline. Can I take my Zoloft prescription and obtain a different generic drug? Will it cause problems for me physically if I switch from Sertraline to Fluoxetine? |
