Amount of sodium in Polyethylene Glycol 3350 generic or brand nameBy Jane Parrish from St. Paul, Minnesota on April 27, 2007 Category: PEG 3350 & Electrolytes (Oral) I am 80 years old and have a 4th degree prolasped bladder and have been giving myself tap water ememas the past 15 years after my hysterectomy and failure of my bladder repair surgery 20 years ago. I am too frail and do not want to undergo another surgery at my age. I also have high blood pressure with a sodium restriction diet to control this fairly well. How much sodium is in the Polyethylene Glycol 3350 AF 17 gm maintenance dose? Can you get this without the electrolytes added in with Miralax or Go-Litely brand names or is the generic by PAR with or without electrolytes? I don't know if this product comes without electrolytes or this is part of the water absorption in the colon. I would like to use this product only occassional when my stool is very hard and difficult to evacuate with my tap water enema. Thank you! |
