I have been using afrin for several years or at least about 10 years and I want to stop using it because i have realized that this is not normal. I have noticed that I have had every last one of the symptoms that you show in your long term side effects area on the website. It started out as using this product to help me breath more freely when I had a cold, but without reading the directions I beganed the use of afrin and now it is like I can't breath without it. I have to use afrin throughout the day and night in order to be able to breath through my nose. I have tried to stop using it on my own, but it's hard. With out afrin I wouldn't be able to breath through my nose and I would have to breath through my mouth and doing this make my mouth extremely dry. Please help me figure out what to do ablut this addiction I guess you would call it an addiciton. HELP ME!

Me too!

I am the same exact way! I use it at least 3 times a day, and have been for roughly 5 years! When I try to stop, I can't breathe through my nose, and my throat like snaps (weird I know). So I have no other choice but to use it. I really wish I could stop, because it's such a pain; buying the nose spray, taking it everywhere with you, etc. I would really like to know how to stop as well. I'm glad somebody knows what I'm talking about, and doesn't think I'm crazy! Lol
