Can you mix Glycolax with milk?By Anonymous Mother on February 15, 2007 Category: Miralax (Oral) My 10 year old daughter had been haveing stomach pains for several months. The doctors are unable to find a mediacal reason for it. She does have a history of contipation but has been taking Glycolax for the last 4 months and has had great results with her bowels however she still has the pain. She had an endoscopy, catscan, ultrasound, several blood work ups, and biopsy done, the results came back normal and they diagnost her with IBS and recommended taking celexa. I am very hesitant to take this step as I don't want to see her personality change from the medication. She was recently hospitalized for 5 days had more test taken and still no medical reason for the pain. She is in so much pain that she is curled up in a ball and crying. I am currently at a loss as to what to do. She has seen a pediatric GI and we have another appointment scheduled with another doctor. Everytime she eats or drinks she gets these sevear pains and this causes her to no want to have any intake. She has lost 11 pounds in less then 2 weeks I am at a loss, I hate to see her in this amount of pain but what can I do. They have suggested that i stop mixing the Glycolax with milk as this could aid in her constipation but now since I have been putting it in juice it seems as though things have gotten worse. What can I do? |
mixing Glycolax with milk?I am taking Glycolax for constipation as well however I mix mine with juice and only about 4 oz. It took about 3 days to produce a movement but when it did it was extreamly painful with cramping and urgency although it was not a loose movement by any means. I have suffered constipation for my entire life and it seems to have only gotten worse with age. I do take Zelnorm and that has helped tremendously with my stomach pain. It is also recommended for constipation. I hope this helps. By Courtney from Idaho on March 23, 2007 | Reply | Write a Reply |
