Epidrin side effects

I read the 'patient prescription information' provided by my pharmacy with my Rx for Epidrin. One of the statements made included "It may cause dependence..." and "Though it is very unlikely to occur, this medication can also result in abnormal drug-seeking behavior (addiction/habit forming.)" Can you elaborate on what is meant here specifically by "abnormal drug-seeking behavior?" I only take Epidrin periodically, usually while on my period, when I get bad headaches during the night almost every night for ~7-14 days. Per instructions, I take 2 capsules first, then one each hour for the next 3 hours, not to exceed total of 5 in that 24-hr period. I am puzzled by subtle feelings of the above-mentioned unlikely-to-occur side effects, which promptly go away when I am off the med. Your elaboration would be appreciated. JM

Rebound headaches and Epidrin

The pharmacy description is referring to rebound headaches caused by a dependence on the medicine, such as Epidrin. That's why it should only be used when needed, not in anticipation of a headache. Perhaps try non-dependent fastacting Tylenol Gel tabe first, and see if that can allay the headache to a degree, rather than ALWAYS reaching for the Epidrin.
