Sodium bicarbonate or carbonate? IV

On Nov. 15, I had eaten something that upset my stomach.  I regertated the entire portion eaten--none digested, shortly after consuming .  I am a diabetic, so I  experienced insulin shock--still concious my co workers called an ambulance.  I refused to go to the hospital but they all INSISTED.  All I needed was some juice or cola.  After being put into the ambulance and an IV started, I began to feel very very bad, hot and with convulsing.  The hospital ordered glucose but the peramedics gave me SODIUM CARBONATE OR BICARBONATE IV.    I did enter into a deeper shock until the doctor discovered what they had given me.  NOW, I am swollen from my legs down, my blood pressure is high and my heart    feels abnormal. I have been on a low sodim diet before.  I am aware that this is probably serious, what can I do or should I do? I will not be able to see a doctor until next month.    Any advice and or help  you can  offer will be kindly appreciated.... Mrs. Hill
