I HAVE BEEN TAKING HCTZ 12.5 / LISINOPRIL 10 MG TAB FOR SEVERAL YEARS.  IT CONTROLS MY BLOOD PRESSURE VERY WELL.  MY BLOOD PRESSURE TODAY WAS 125/80 AND ONE WEEK AGO WAS 135/92.

MY DOCTOR HAS PRESCRIBED TERAZOSIN ORAL CAPSULE 1MG FOR ONE WEEK AND THEN INCREASE TO 2MG.  IT IS BEING PRESCRIBED FOR ENLARGED PROSTATE AND URINATION PROBLEMS.

MY QUESTION IS------------WILL TAKING BOTH MEDICATIONS CAUSE MY BLOOD PRESSURE TO DROP MORE?  IS IT SAFE?  I DID NOT REALIZE THAT IT WAS A BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION ALSO.

I AM CONCERNED.

THANK YOU!

CHARLES

no difference in bp

I read your post, and I can tell you that I am on the exact same meds as you. The terasozin did not change the bp reading at all. That's for me anyway. Good luck.
