so this isnt that good?

My question is, Is this medication really going to help? I have been sick for almost 2 months. I have had several diagnosis and I am fed up. I cough so hard that my ribs are out of place constantly and I am in terrible pain. My doctor gave me this, Mytussin along with Darvacet for pain. Now, I know this might sound silly, but it isnt helping. Is it possible that I have some kind of tolerence against cough or pain meds? I have never abused them or anything so why arent they working like they should be? Please helpSick Ash
