I am a 48 year old female, who is not on a birth cantrol pill. We are planning a trip to Cuba, and i want to ensure that i won't get a period while we are there. My Dr. gave me a script for ORVAL-21. He recommended that i start taking them on day 5 of my next period, and then continue taking them until we return from our trip. Hence, he said, i will get a period after 2 days. I am somewhat hesitant in doing this. I smoke, am also menopausal. I also have Fibrocystic Breast Disease. Will taking this pill for a 2 month period produce more harmonal fluctuations. Will it interfere with my current menoapusal stage in life? Would you recommend any other measure to stop a period from occurring?

Otherwise, i am a healthy 48 year old, in good physical health.

What would you recommend?

Scincerely,

Bonny Brecht
