atypical glandular cellsBy Stefani from Chicago on July 19, 2006 Category: Gynecology I recently got my most recent Pap smear results back. The verdict: atypical glandular cells. I have a colposcopy and endometrial biopsy scheduled for the end of August. My question is, what does this abnormal result mean? In 2004, my Pap smear came back abnormal because of mild dysplasia. I had a Leep proceedure done, and everthing has been fine. Until now. What is the difference between dysplasia and atypical glandular cells? Which is more serious? My OB-GYN is on vacation, and I'm having trouble understanding what the nurse is telling me. Should I be worried? |
