Mood swings on TriSprintec

I've been taking Trinessa for 1 year. Following the year, I had my yearly pap, and started on Trisprintec because my pharmacist said it was exactly the same and trinessa stopped manufacturing their product. The first two months taking Tri sprintect I had incredible mood swings. I saw my doctor talked to her about this and she prescribed Kariva. My understanding is that this birth control has the same dose of estrogen and progesteron every week, except for your period week. What do you think about that?

any advice?

thank you

angela

So it is not just me on the mood swings

Wow I guess it is sadly good to hear that someone else is feeling my pain. Today has started the second month of my newly perscribed Tri-sprintec. Since I started it a month ago I have been undergoing the worste mood swings I have ever had.My poor boyfriend has no idea what to do because im always snapping at everything and I am the complete opposite now of what i usually am. This is driving me crazy!!!! Does it ever stop!!!!!!!!!! and is it worth switching to another kind as well??thanks!

Moods swings on TriSprintec

I was on trisprintec for years and then went off it, i found that the first 3-4 months was an adjustment but that after that it all calmed down. I switched from name brand othro to tri sprintec and though they work the same my doc. says the horomones can be slightly different and cause the side effects of moodiness. maybe give it 2 more months and see if there is a change

Would NOT recomment Tri-Sprintec

I first started taking Birth Control in Sept. 2007, because I will be getting married this July (08); my doctor first prescribed me Yasmin; it wasn't too bad, but I had some side effects, and since it was my one I thought I would try something else. Then, she prescribed me Tri-Sprintec; I have HATED it! It has made me minorly break out, which I thought it was supposed to help with that. During the 2nd month of taking it I had 2 weeks strait of breakthrough bleeding and when I'm on my period my cramps are just as bad and the flow is just as heavy as if I weren't on the pill, I have been SO emotional and moody. I just went back to change again yesterday and I have been presrcribed Yaz..but I have been reading up on that also and I hear it's really not so great...UGHHH not sure what to do about it all. I am getting overly frustrated. Oh and not to mention, I used to have a high sex drive and now its basically gone...NO BUENO!
