Side effects of Dexpak - increased urination and thirst?By Amy from Kentucky, USA on April 28, 2006 Category: Dexpak (Oral) I just have a few days left of my dexpak prescription given for a case of poison ivy and I have been having an increase in urination (but only during the night) and not so much an increase in thirst, but that my tongue feels sort of slick. I don't know any other way to describe it. When I drink, it is like my tongue is very smooth and the liquid doesn't seem to make it feel like I've taken a drink (also beverages I normally enjoy taste funny). I guess some may describe that as thirst, but to me it just feels weird. Also, when I urinate it doesn't feel like I've completely emptied my bladder exactly, almost like a numb bladder sensation or something. It just doesn't feel right. I'm just wondering if these symptoms will subside when I'm done with this medicine, or should I consult my physician? |

The symptoms will go away after your treatment. Whatever you do, be sure to complete the rx regiment. No matter how inconvient, we are on a form of chemotherapy anytime we take medicine. It is foreign to our bodies so we must be prepared to endure. By Dave l on October 24, 2006 | Reply | Write a Reply |
