Taking Yasmin at different times

I have read the yasmin website and the little brochures that come with the pills. I know that for the pill to be 100% effective, it has to be taken at the same time of the day for the 21 days as prescribed. My question is: At the same time you mean at...

I took Yasmin 28 for approximately 5 years after changing from Desogen. The only reason that I changed pills was because my gynecologist had a bunch of free samples. It was my yearly exam time and they decided I should change. I gained five pounds that I could not get rid of despite the fact that I run 5 times a week. I did not realize how bad it dampened my sex drive until I stopped taking the pill in order to get pregnant. I was able to get pregnant without a problem. After I gave birth I got back on Yasmin for about 2 more years. I guess I chose that one out of habit. I had migraines each month that specifically coincided with the time period that you took the placebo pills. The headaches lasted the entire 7 days. I finally quit all birth control pills. I lost the weight, sex drive increased and the headaches ceased. However, I began to have bad periods that were associated with horrific cramping, almost like labor and real heavy clots. My doctor put me on Loestrin. I instantly gained 10 pounds but the cramps and heavy bleeding stopped. Then the yeast infections started and the need to get up and urinate all night long. I have now been changed to ortho cyclen.
