Vancenase (Nasal) is used for the Treatment

Beclomethasone (be-kloe-METH-a-sone) Treats hay fever or other allergy symptoms in the nasal passages. Is also used to keep nasal polyps from growing back after they have been surgically removed. Belongs to a class of drugs called corticosteroids.

When To Not Use Vancenase (Nasal)

You should not use this medicine if you have ever had an allergic reaction to beclomethasone or any cortisone medicine (such as prednisone or hydrocortisone).

How Should You Use Vancenase (Nasal)

Powder Under Pressure, Solution

  • Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to use and how often.
  • Blow your nose before using the medicine to clear out the nostrils.
  • Shake the canister well before each use.
  • Place the tip inside your nostril and slowly breathe in through your nose. At the same time press down on the canister to release a spray of the medicine.
  • Remove the tip from your nose and breathe out through your mouth.
  • You may need to use this medicine for 1 to 2 weeks before you feel better. Do not stop using it without first asking your doctor.
  • If a dose is missed:
  • Use the spray as soon as possible.
  • Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next regular dose.
  • Do not inhale two doses at the same time.

Store Vancenase (Nasal) at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture unless otherwise stated by manufacturer's instructions or labelling. Keep Vancenase (Nasal) and all medications out of the reach of children.

  • White or red patches inside your mouth or nose that are painful
  • If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
  • Burning, stinging, or irritation in the nose
  • Stuffy nose, sneezing
  • Nosebleed
  • Changes in taste or smell
