I have used triple antibiotic on different places on my skin before and I seem to break out in a rash on the area applied...possible allergic reaction to the TAO. I have tried to put it on a small-mild burn and the ointment seemed to break my skin out...

Bacitracin (bas-i-TRAY-sin), Neomycin (nee-oh-MEY-sin), Polymyxin B Sulfate (pol-i-MIX-in B SUL-fate) Prevents infections caused by minor cuts, scrapes, and burns.
When To Not Use Triple Antibiotic Ointment (Topical)
You should not use this medicine if you have ever had an allergic reaction to bacitracin, neomycin, or polymyxin B.
How Should You Use Triple Antibiotic Ointment (Topical)
Ointment, Cream
- Your doctor will tell you how much of this medicine to use and how often. Do not use more medicine or use it more often than your doctor tells you to.
- If you are using this medicine without a prescription, follow the instructions on the medicine label.
- FOR USE ON THE SKIN ONLY. Do not use this medicine in or around your eyes or over large areas of your body. This medicine should not be used in your ears if your eardrum is perforated (torn).
- Clean the wound and apply a small amount of ointment or cream. You may cover the wound with a bandage after putting on the medicine. If a dose is missed:
- If you miss a dose or forget to use your medicine, use it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then to use the medicine and skip the missed dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.
