How quickly should I use Siltussin once I open the bottle?

I have Siltussin SA for use for cough. How long should I keep the opened container of cough syrup before disposing of it? I am concerned with the possibility of the product losing it's effectiveness after it's been opened.

Inactive ingredients in Siltussin

I would like to know the inactive ingredients in Siltussin SA. I specifically want to know if there are salicyates hidden in the product, perhaps the "flavoring" ingredient is a form of salicylate. So I would like the listing of evey ingredient. Thank...
