why was this drug no longer produced?


I am just wondering why this is no longer available in the US.  Our office used it regularly ad now patients are complaining that we no longer have it available.  Please let me know whyit was dicontinued.  Thanks!

why was it removed from the market?


i work for princeton eyecare assoc in princeton nj we are unable to get rev eyes and there is no explanation given for its being taken off the market. thanks gail

Rev-Eyes (Ophthalmic) is used for the Treatment

Dapiprazole (DA-pi-pray-zole) Returns your pupil to normal size after certain kinds of eye tests.

When To Not Use Rev-Eyes (Ophthalmic)

You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to dapiprazole or if you have an eye problem, such as in an irritated iris.

How Should You Use Rev-Eyes (Ophthalmic)

Proper Rev-Eyes (Ophthalmic) Storage

Store Rev-Eyes (Ophthalmic) at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture unless otherwise stated by manufacturer's instructions or labelling. Keep Rev-Eyes (Ophthalmic) and all medications out of the reach of children.

What To Avoid While Using Rev-Eyes (Ophthalmic)

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

  • Tell your doctor if you are using other eye medicines.

Rev-Eyes (Ophthalmic) Warnings

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using this medicine.
  • Dapiprazole should not be given more than one time a week.
  • You may have trouble seeing in the dark for a few hours after using this medicine. Do not drive or use machinery until your vision is back to normal.
  • Your eyes may also be more sensitive to sunlight for a few hours after using the medicine. Wearing sunglasses may help.

Rev-Eyes (Ophthalmic) Side Effects

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

  • Eye pain or swelling in your eyes
  • If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
  • Burning or redness in your eyes
  • Blurred vision
  • Drooping of your eyelid
  • Headache, browache
  • Eye itching
  • Eye sensitivity to light
