For nearly five years, I have been taking Reglan. Reglan was the only medicine prescribed to me that actually helped for any length of time. I did have some side effects when my dosage was higher. I did not realize the side effects I experienced were related to the drug until just recently. I did occasionally have the swollen tongue that others have reported as well as a clenched jaw and leg restlessness. I frequently experience insomnia, so I cannot directly blame my use of this particular drug for that problem. Over the past year, I decreased my dosage to 10 mg two times a day. Since the decrease, I have not experienced any of the earlier mentioned side effects. I would not have connected my symptoms to Reglan if I had not seen others mention the same issues. After hearing of the more severe possible side effects from other users and my doctor, I am going to try and cut back my dosage even further. However, I know that taking one 10 mg pill daily will not help my condition. I think people should be made aware of all the potential side effects before using this drug.
