Since this page said "sure is quiet in here" and "be the first to write a review" I'll convey my wonderful experience with the Fleet phospho soda laxative. Warning: this review will contain TMI; only done so to find humor in a bad situation. Anyway, I get frequent constipation due to medications I'm on. I don't want to be laxative dependent so I try to give myself every chance to go naturally. One morning I couldn't stand the discomfort and thought I'd try the Fleet saline laxative. I had never used it before and had recently bought it since it said it works in as fast as a half hour. Since I wait so long before finally taking anything I was looking for quick relief. I took the entire bottle and a few minutes later my wife (not knowing I just took a laxative)asked if I could give her a ride to work since she missed her bus. I didn't tell her what I had taken and just said yes since I would be back home in a half hour and thought that there was no way it could possibly work so fast since it was only a few ounces of liquid.(I would soon find out that I was never so mistaken in my life.) We left and about 20 minutes later I got to her work. She got out of the car and before I pulled away from the curb to head back home I felt a rumbling in my intestines. It only lasted a few seconds. I thought about using the public restroom at her work but the rumbling went away and I had no urgency to go. I thought I'll be home in 15 minutes and having no experience with using this again thought that it's only a few ounces of liquid-how bad can it be? Well, I got on the highway to go home, 7 or 8 minutes passed by and then it happened. As fast as switching on a light switch it really started to begin working and quite strongly at that. There was a long, sustained rumbling in my intestines along with a lot of loud, watery noises. It felt like my intestines were a blender that was turned on and everything in my body turned to water. At this point I really wished I (1) had tried to go at my wife's work and (2) had taken a laxative that could blow a hole through the Hoover Dam. I had to go soooo bad and was still about 4 miles from my exit. Even after that I had to drive another 2 miles to get home. As I was driving I managed to undo my belt and jeans to try to relieve some of the quickly building pressure and discomfort. I held it in as tightly as I could and prayed I'd make it home. I was lucky and didn't hit any red lights those last 2 miles and pulled in the driveway. I sat in the car for a second, afraid to move for fear that I'd have an accident right there. But then I realized I have to try to get to the bathroom right away so I got out of the car and I'm standing at the front door trying to unlock it with one hand while holding up my pants with the other hand. I got inside and made my way to the bathroom, pressing my buttcheeks together so tightly that I felt I could break walnut shells between them. The good news was that I made it into the bathroom but the bad news was that when I bent over to pull my pants down before sitting I experienced one last rumbling that may have been picked up on the Richter scale and then I basically exploded. It was awful, I was so embarrassed, I was just glad there was nobody else home at the time. Sad to say that there was diarrhea everywhere; on the floor, walls, toilet and down the back of my legs. You would think that I had a sproket attached to my anus. I then sat down and for the next 15 minutes or so expelled an amount of fluid equal to Lake Superior. I felt as though I lost 20 pounds. When I felt that things had finally "calmed down" I just stepped in the shower, threw my pants in the trash and cleaned the bathroom. This concludes my initial experience with this product, hope you enjoyed the narrative. In spite of my accident I continue to use this today since it works fast, is easy to take, is very effective and doesn't give me bad cramps like the stimulants do. It's also predictable. It tastes terrible so I found it best to drink it as fast as you can and to mix it with lots of ice cold water followed by another glass of cold water after you take it. Obviously (after my long story), take it when you know you aren't going anywhere and will be near a bathroom so you won't have an experience like I did. Good luck. PS- The reason this is so long is that I took a dose of it about an hour ago now and am waiting for it to work. It made me think of the accident I had and to kill time while waiting I went online to read reviews for this product. That's when I saw the "quiet in here" remark so I had to respond at length. Well, gotta go....literally.
