I'm a dog groomer, so coughing is expected. But the amount of coughing I had to deal with was absurd. That's why I began taking Mucinex DM. I had no idea the side effects were so powerful. I have been dealing with diarrhea, heavy sleeping, and nausea ever since going on Mucinex DM. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to stay on it or not.

My nighttime cough had been going on for one week, so I knew it was time to try something new. I went with MucinexDM. The good news is that it stopped the cough. The bad news, which greatly outweighs the good news, is that I suffered from nausea and diarrhea for hours after taking it. If those are the side effects, I'd rather cough and lose sleep.

I took two pills like the directions on the box stated. Within fifteen minutes of taking them, I felt ill with stomach cramps, diarrhea, and a horrible headache. I took the medicine back to the store for a refund.

I am always very careful about taking cold and flu medicine because I suffer from high blood pressure and I chose Mucinex as I did not see any warnings or side effects on the box. I almost went to the urgent care clinic - I did not go due to the reviews I read here. I was dizzy with hot and cold flashes.
