I am on one half milligram to times per day. This only helps a little, but my physician is very reluctant to increase my dosage. I am curious as to whether or not this is a fast acting drug.

I am moving from Wisconsin to Illinois and have been curious as to why my current physician will only allow me to refill my prescription for Klonopin on the day I run out from my previous month's prescription. I have never had this problem with any other doctors or any other medications. It makes it very difficult at times to ensure that I do not run out and go a day or two without my medication. It is important that I take my medication daily. Is anyone aware of any new legislation in Wisconsin regarding this medication that I am not aware of?
