I have been taking this drug for over a year. There are some side effects I don't like, but overall the drug has helped. I've had a few seizures lately and I'm not sure why, but I don't think that it's the drug's fault. I am upset that my seizures were under control once, but now it takes more of the drug for it to work. I'm not giving up.

Keppra is an oral pill to treat seizure disorders, specifically to treat partial seizures. It is comparable to Lamictal and Trileptal. The pharmaceutical name of Keppra is levetiracetam.
Two years ago, after a brain surgery I started using Keppra. I am taking the highest doses, which is 1,500 mg 2 times a day for adults. Keppra has been successfull at preventing most of my seizures. I have however felt some of the side effects: headaches, dizziness, and sleepiness. Nonetheless I prefer the side effects to having seizures.
