Keflex (Oral)

Questions | Reviews **~

can keflex antibiotic suppression therapy cause an overgrowth of ringworm?

I had one ringworm on my leg to begin with, then I was started on keflex for antibiotic suppression of chronic UTI. My ringworm problem has spread like crazy despite antifungal sprays and creams, could this be due to the keflex?

My doctor prescribed me Keflex when I was suffering from an infected tooth. My face started to swell only thirty minutes after taking the initial dose and continued to get worse as I took the medication. This was the first time I have ever had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. I had to follow up with steroids.

Having surgery due to an infection was one of the most painful experiences of my life - if not the most painful. I wasn't sure if the pain would ever leave. I'm currently on Day 4 of Keflex and it has been eased the pain a great deal. I hope its efficacy will be just as good.
