- Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to take and how often.
- Use this medicine only on the skin. Do not get this medicine in your eyes, nose, or mouth.
- Wear medical gloves when putting this medicine on.
- Wash the skin to be treated with soap and water before putting this medicine on. Also wash your hands before and after using this medicine.
- Use enough cream or solution to cover the area of skin you are treating.
- Do not put a bandage over the area unless your doctor has told you to.
- You should not use fluorouracil more often or for longer periods than ordered by your doctor. If a dose is missed:
- Use your medicine as soon as you remember that you have missed your dose.
- If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then to use the medicine and skip the missed dose.
- Do not put on two doses at one time.
