How long does it take to work. I started taking it 6 hours ago and no relief
Does this medicine take a couple of days to start working or is it supposed to work right away?

Flavoxate (fla-VOX-ate) Treats muscle spasms of the bladder. Relieves painful and difficult urination, relieves pubic area pain, and frequent urination.
When To Not Use FLAVOXATE (Oral) (Tablet)
You should not use this medicine if you have ever had an allergic reaction to flavoxate.
How Should You Use FLAVOXATE (Oral) (Tablet)
Tablet
- Your doctor will tell you how much to take and how often.
- Take this medicine exactly as your doctor ordered.
- It is best to take your medicine on an empty stomach. However, it may be taken with milk or food to avoid stomach upset. If a dose is missed:
- Take the missed dose as soon as possible.
- If it is almost time for your next regular dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular schedule.
- You should not use two doses at the same time.

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:
- Fast or irregular heartbeat
- Shortness of breath
- Skin rash, severe itching or hives
- Confusion
- Red and warm skin
- Fever or sore throat If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
- Dizziness, drowsiness
- Eye(s) sensitive to bright light
- Blurred vision
- Dry mouth or throat
- Nervousness
- Headache
- Nausea and vomiting
