Erbitux (Injection) is used for the Treatment
Cetuximab (se-TUK-see-mab) Treats colon cancer. This medicine may be used by itself, or given with another medicine.

You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to cetuximab.
How Should You Use Erbitux (Injection)
Injectable
- Medicines used to treat cancer are very strong and can have many side effects. Before receiving this medicine, make sure you understand all the risks and benefits. It is important for you to work closely with your doctor during your treatment.
- You will receive this medicine while you are in a hospital or cancer treatment center. A nurse or other trained health professional will give you this medicine. This medicine needs to be given slowly, so the needle will remain in place for at least an hour. The first dose of this medicine could take

What To Avoid While Using Erbitux (Injection)

- Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant, or if you have lung disease.
- This medicine might cause an allergic reaction. Some signs of an allergic reaction are trouble breathing, hoarseness, hives, and light-headness. Tell your health caregiver right away if you think you are having an allergic reaction.
- Do not breast feed while you are using this medicine. Do not breast feed for at least 60 days after you receive your last dose of this medicine.
- Make sure your doctor knows if you have ever had any kind of bad reaction to cetuximab in the past.
- This medicine may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Use a sunscreen when you are outdoors. Avoid sunlamps and tanning beds.
Erbitux (Injection) Side Effects
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing.
- Change in how much or how often you urinate.
- Fever and chills.
- Skin rash, swelling, redness, blistering, or cracking on your face or upper body.
- Trouble breathing. If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
- Headache.
- Swelling around your fingernails or toenails.
- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, constipation.
- Unusual tiredness or weakness.
