Diflucan (Oral) is used for the Treatment

Fluconazole (floo-KOE-na-zole) Treats fungus infections.Belongs to a class of drugs called antifungals.

When To Not Use Diflucan (Oral)

You should not use this medicine if you have ever had an allergic reaction to fluconazole or other anti-fungal medicines.

How Should You Use Diflucan (Oral)

Tablet, Liquid

  • Your doctor will tell you how much to take and how often.
  • May be taken with or without food.
  • You may swallow the tablet whole or crush it.
  • Shake the oral liquid well before using. Carefully measure the dose with a marked measuring spoon or medicine cup.
  • Keep taking the medicine for as long as your doctor tells you to.
  • If a dose is missed:
  • Take your medicine as soon as you remember.
  • If it is nearly time for your next dose, wait until then to take your medicine and skip the missed dose.
  • You should not use two doses at the same time.

  • Extreme tiredness, nausea
  • Pale-colored stools
  • Dark or orange-colored urine
  • Severe stomach pain (especially on your right side)
  • Skin rash or hives
  • If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
  • Stomach upset
  • Loss of appetite
  • Diarrhea
  • Headache or dizziness
