What would happen if I am pregnant when using Benzamycin?
I have used this gel for few weeks. Recently, I have stopped using it when I think I maybe pregnant. May I know what would be the side effect of this medicine on a pregnant woman? Is it very risky?

Benzamycin Pak (Topical) is used for the Treatment
Benzoyl Peroxide (BEN-zoe-ill per-OX-ide), Erythromycin (er-ith-roe-MYE-sin) Used on the skin to treat acne.
When To Not Use Benzamycin Pak (Topical)
You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to erythromycin or benzoyl peroxide in the past.
How Should You Use Benzamycin Pak (Topical)
Gel/Jelly
- Your doctor will tell you how often to use this medicine.
- For use on the skin only.
- Wash and dry the area before you put on the medicine. If you have just shaved, you should wait 30 minutes before applying the medicine to prevent stinging or irritation.
- Put the medicine on with your fingers and spread it over the affected area (on and around the acne).
- Do not apply in or around the eyes.
- Wash your hands after using. If a dose is missed:
- Apply the missed dose as soon as possible.
- Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next regular dose.
- You should not use twice as much medicine at one time.
Proper Benzamycin Pak (Topical) Storage
Store Benzamycin Pak (Topical) at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture unless otherwise stated by manufacturer's instructions or labelling. Keep Benzamycin Pak (Topical) and all medications out of the reach of children.
What To Avoid While Using Benzamycin Pak (Topical)
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
- Check with your doctor before using any other acne medicine on your skin.
- Using PABA sunscreen and benzoyl peroxide together may cause your skin to change color. Ask your pharmacist for a sunscreen product that does not contain PABA.
Benzamycin Pak (Topical) Warnings
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using this medicine.
- Benzoyl peroxide may bleach hair and dyed fabric. Avoid getting the medicine on your hair or clothes.
Benzamycin Pak (Topical) Side Effects
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:
- Severe skin swelling or blistering If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
- Skin rash, redness, swelling or itching
- Dry or peeling skin
- Tenderness, stinging or burning
- Eye irritation
