After being diagnosed with Distal Colitis approximately a year and a half ago, I was placed on a medication known as Lialda. Unfortunately, this medication made me feel very nauseated.
I was later switched to a commonly used medication called Asacol, which happily is working very well. Since beginning the Asacol treatment, I have had no internal bleeding, and the stomach cramps and diarrhea I had previously suffered from so often, have been greatly diminished. One negative side effect of the medication I have noticed is hair loss.
