Content: Spironolactone - Hydrochlorothiazide: Tablets: 25 mg - 25 mg, 50 mg - 50 mg

Action/Kinetics: This drug is a combination of a thiazide and potassium-sparing diuretic.

Uses: Congestive heart failure, essential hypertension, nephrotic syndrome. Edema and/or ascites in cirrhosis of the liver.

Contraindications: Use in pregnancy only if benefits outweigh risks.

Dosage
?Tablets Edema.
Adults, usual: 100 mg of each drug daily (range: 25-200 mg), given as single or divided doses. Pediatric, usual: equivalent to 1.65-3.3 mg/kg spironolactone.
Essential hypertension.
Adults, usual: 50-100 mg of each drug daily in single or divided doses.
