Classification: Anticholinergic, antispasmodic (quaternary ammonium compound)

Action/Kinetics: Duration: 6 hr. Metabolized in the liver and excreted through the urine.

Uses: Adjunct in peptic ulcer therapy. Spastic and inflammatory disease of GI and urinary tracts. Control of salivation and enuresis. Duodenography. Second-line therapy for urinary incontinence.

Special Concerns: Safety and effectiveness for use in children with peptic ulcer have not been established.

How Supplied: Tablet: 7.5 mg, 15 mg

Dosage
?Tablets GI problems.
Adults: 15 mg 30 min before meals and 30 mg at bedtime. Reduce dose to 7.5 mg t.i.d. for mild symptoms, geriatric clients, or clients of small stature. Pediatric: 0.375 mg/kg (10 mg/m ²) q.i.d. with dose being adjusted as needed.
Urinary incontinence.
Adults: 7.5-30 mg 3-5 times/day; in some, doses as high as 15-60 mg q.i.d. may be needed.
