I have been told that Mucinex products would help with my singular usage, but I am hypentensive. Can I take the OTC products?

Guaifenesin (Robitusson) Dosage

I have chest congestion which seems to be getting better however I finished one bottle of Robitusson and I do not know if it is ok to continue with another dose.  I still have slightly discolored mucus and cough.

How much would you give a 1000lb horse?

How much would you give a 1000lb horse? My veterninarian has prescribed it for my horse but the Spect-tuss is not palatable for the horse--she refuses to eat it. I tasted it and agree with her!

CVS Drug stores had this drug on sale at a great price savings (buy 1
get one for half price). This is necessary for retired (82 years old) people trying to afford it + proper usage. Mucinex costs VS quantity
in much more costly and with a history of effectiveness.
In 1991 I had my right kidney removed due to internal cancer (very early stages). When I got home guaifensin was very effective for relieving my chest conjestine and clearing my (very active) sinuses. I was very pleased. In approximately 8 hours I developed a significant pain in my left side. I tried to increase my water (liquids) consumption and took two more in proper, recommended, time. I then taking it (400 MGdosage). Not knowing why I discontinued taking it and protect my remaining left kidney.
Results of drug, for application expected, wwere very good,The damages to kidney unknown.I take daily, Lisopgil 20 mg., pravachol 40 mg, razadyne ER 24 mg,omega 3 1000 MG,famotidine 20mg, sertraline HCL100 mg,clairitine-D 24 hour, trazadine HCL 100mg, metroprol XL 25 mg, 81 mg aspirine, plus seniors mutti vitamines.(allergies are to cipro (critical)), & diflucan a rash)). Thank You. 3rd submission, sorry.

I have been very satisfied with its availabilty and its effectiveness. It has been most effective when used without a cough suppressant seeing as coughing is the mechanism by which the mucous is removed. If the cough hangs on after the congestion is gone, then I used a cough suppressant.
Robitussin works for most things (200 mg/per teaspoon). Mucinex is available in stronger doses (for adults, 2 x 600 mg tabs every 12 hours).
