Additional Drug Interactions:
Do not add drugs to IV solutions of erythromycin lactobionate.
How Supplied:
Powder for injection: 500 mg, 1 g
Dosage
•IV
Adults and children: 15-20 mg/kg/day up to 4 g/day in severe infections.
Acute pelvic inflammatory disease caused by gonorrhea.
500 mg q 6 hr for 3 days followed by 250 mg erythromycin stearate, PO, q 6 hr for 7 days.
Legionnaire's disease.
1-4 g/day in divided doses. Change to PO therapy as soon as possible. |
