Action/Kinetics: Minimal sedative and moderate anticholinergic effects. Duration: 8 hr.

Contraindications: Use of extended-release tablets in children.

Special Concerns: Geriatric clients may be more sensitive to the usual adult dose.

How Supplied: Syrup: 2 mg/5 mL; Tablet: 2 mg; Tablet, Extended Release: 4 mg, 6 mg

Dosage
•Syrup, Tablets
Adults: 2 mg q 4-6 hr. Pediatric, 5-12 years: 1 mg q 4-6 hr; 2-5 years: 0.5 mg q 4-6 hr.
•Extended-Release Tablets
Adults and children over 12 years: 4-6 mg at bedtime or q 8-10 hr. Children, 6-12 years: 4 mg/day, taken preferably at bedtime.
